Work that has "Gone to a new home"
As I only ever do one of a kind pieces, if you see anything here that sparks for you, Please contact me so we can discuss what I might be able to create for you.
Blue Fairy Wren
This little guy is an Unframed Superb Fairy Wren in watercolour and ink painted from a photograph I took at Hanging Rock in Victoria.
Serendipity
And this is"Serendipity" it was the first stone I found and learned how to drill out. The whole piece just came together so easily it almost made itself and is based on my twist on a lariat style necklace. The copper form under the quirky little beach stone is made with a rolling mill and Dapping block (way cool fun) as well as the torch and cutting tools. The other accents are sterling silver. $70
Commission
Commissioned pendant posted away to new home. Tiger Iron in copper and reticulated brass. The beauty of the story in the stone is mesmerising.
"Crazy Heart"
"Crazy Heart" has Carnelian for courage and Crazy Lace Agate for happiness, in mixed metal, torn and stitched because real life isn't about poured plastic perfection. It's got blood & fear & pain & then getting up again, but beauty and joy just the same. With love from me to you. NOW SOLD
Swarm
"Swarm" or "Cluster" or "Flight" or "Hover" or "Cloud" or "Glimmer" or "Beauty" of Dragonflies. Collective nouns seem endless and fun, a bit like my desire to play with the Dragonfly image really. Unframed watercolour and ink $20
Turquoise Dreaming
"Turquoise Dreaming" Feather pendant in Stirling silver with turquoise cabochon. $120
"Cascade"
"Cascade" The rain got me thinking about some of the amazing waterfalls I've seen in our beautiful country. I think for me (living as we do with the harshness of our dry seasons) I'm always delighted by water. Rivers and Waterfalls are perhaps some of the most spiritual, healing places I've ever been. Australian Dendritic Opalite in a silver and copper mixed metal setting with a freshwater pearl highlight.
Gayndah pebble bangle
Handformed Silver bangle with Gayndah pebbles and silver dangles.
Ocean Dreams
Ocean Dreams
A tiny delicate cone shaped shell floats in the centre of this detail rich, sterling silver feather. The feather is approximately 4&1/2 cms long and is on a 40 cm sterling silver snake chain.
Quixotism
"Quixotism" is off to a new home down south. My Pottery friends might recognise it as a glaze run but one of the "Magic" ones. It was a bit of a challenge to work and set but is beautiful beyond words. It simply cannot be reproduced ever.
Dream Journals
Handmade leather bound journals, all individually designed, with every page hand cut or torn from my eclectic collection of papers . All with their own unique pockets and quirky accessories. They were soooo much fun to make and I hope they inspire their recipients to let loose their own personal creativity and enjoy the chance to play.
Open to Happiness
"Open to Happiness" is a glorious cabochon of Crazy Lace Agate with a Geode highlight; set in fire sculpted copper. I adore this stone. Also called the Laughter Stone, or "Happy Lace" it is said to help with decision making by balancing the physical, emotional, and mental. Its graceful design and random lacy patterns, create a circular flow of energy. It brings laughter, absorbs all forms of negativity, including emotional pain and helps promote optimism and focus. It is traditionally used to ward off the "evil eye."
Crazy Lace Agate is a variety of banded Chalcedony, a mineral of the Quartz family. It is predominantly white, with layers of creamy browns, blacks and grays. Some may include layers of yellow ochre, gold, scarlet and red.
Heart's Ease
This one is Heart's Ease; a magical, little, almost perfect heart (aren't we all) shaped rock with re-purposed copper accents and findings on a 5mm round brown leather cord. $65
